NON-FUNGIBLE TOKENS (NFTS)

Few companies stood to benefit from the sale of non-fungible tokens, or NFTs, more than Authentic Brands Group. As a brand management firm, ABG owns a broad portfolio of brands, including A-list celebrity likenesses including Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley and Shaquille O’Neal.

As SVP, Entertainment Marketing I oversaw the marketing strategy for Authentic Brands’ foray into the space with Muhammad Ali and Marilyn Monroe NFTs supported with domestic and international promotion and PR support.

 

Muhammad Ali

ABG and Muhammad Ali Enterprises (MAE) debuted two Muhammad Ali NFT Collections, the first in partnership with Sotheby’s and featured exclusive artwork created by the G.O.A.T himself, and the second collection debuted with Raf Grassetti, one of the foremost digital sculptors in the NFT community.

The collection with Raf Grassetti generated over $550,000 in revenue and charitable donations, garnered the 2nd highest market activity and sales across all NFT platforms, and grew his Weibo channel by 27%

 
 
 

Shaquille O’Neal

Shaquille O’Neal’s Eras of Dominance Collection, was a curated, commemorative compilation of digital art that honored the legacy of the iconic athlete. Inspired by O’Neal’s decorated basketball career, the drop featured five NFTs by renowned digital artist Justin Maller depicting the three teams where O’Neal forged his legacy: the Orlando Magic, the first team O’Neal called home, the Los Angeles Lakers, the team for which he won three consecutive championships, and the Miami Heat, where he brought the city its first ring.

 The drop was heavily promoted via PR to crypto outlets and to the crypo community via affiliate marketing, organic and paid social media and across O’Neal’s platforms.

Marilyn Monroe

ABG announced “MARILYN MONROE METAMORPHOSIS™,” a curated collection of art by 11 emerging artists from around the globe in honor of the beloved icon’s milestone 95th Birthday.

MARILYN MONROE METAMORPHOSIS was inspired by Marilyn’s multi-dimensionality, complexity, and status in the world of pop culture. The collection went up for auction on June 1st, Marilyn’s 95th birthday exclusively at marilynmonroeforever.com and on blockchain platform Ethernity Chain.

Promotion of the NFT series grew Marilyn’s Weibo channels by 32%.
